With the move to the VPS (finally) completed and it set up to my taste, it is only right to start posting again. Still on Drupal (version 6 though), with a new classy theme and some stuff under the hood changed for the better.

Digital life has gone on while the blog virtually came to a standstill. I have been promoted (not in real life unfortunately) to be moderator on the Arch Linux forums (which came as quite a surprise) and on the brand new Icadyptes forums. The latter came as less a surprise, given that the main developer and I go back a few years, being fellow Zenwalk users, and I already help policing Zenwalk's forum and IRC channel - an IRC channel that nonetheless periodically turns into organised anarchy, but then again: that's how IRC works, no?

So with everything (or almost everything) running on the VPS now, I took the chance to set things up the right way. Lighttpd and a Drupal multisite setup - which, by the way, was far easier to set up than most blogs or tutorials make it look like, at least if you do it the way Drupal likes it... Lighty is a delight to work with, too. It will all take some tuning (although most of it should be done for Drupal already), so we can make the most of the hardware we have. Setting up is only half the fun, right?

I am planning to dabble a bit in CSS, maybe even PHP, to get this blog looking good. For a beginner like me, of course, a nice theme is half the work. I already started hacking some at the CSS and PHP of this very theme (Deco), and I'm liking it :-).

Oh and Michael - thanks for the title. But I'll leave it at that ;-).
